Caption: In the fall of 1950, Notre Dame students Jean Snow, Rosina Nigro, Natalena Milano, and Connie Rae Fratto work with Sister Mildred to create flags to gain greater appreciation and interest in the United Nations. The opening of the school that year was postponed when two of the nuns that taught at the school were injured in a car accident and others had to be sent to replace them in the classroom. |
