Food banks face tough times through holidays

Rosalie Peterson, Margarie Pectol and Susan Brown present a check for $300 to Jackie Butkovich of the Carbon County food bank from the VFW Auxiliary. The empty shelves at the food bank testify to the needs of the community during this time of economic downturn. Brown says requests for food have gone up recently and expects a busy holiday season. All food banks in the state need the publics support and contributions.
