Faith Martinez

Faith Skilee Martinez graduated Cum Laude, from Westminster College with a B.S. in Environmental Science (concentration in Science and Environment, History minor & Westminster Scholars Program) on June 1, 2013. While at Westminster College Faith participated in several activities and held multiple leadership roles including being a Resident Advisor for International Students, President of Pierced (Cru), Board of Directors for American Chemical Society, Senate Parliamentarian, Peer Mentor for a Balanced Life, and developed her love for policy during her internship at the Utah Attorney General's Office in the Division of Natural Resources! She has been honored to be a member of Beta Beta Beta, the National Biological Honors Society, as well as Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honors Society. Faith also enjoyed a summer abroad studying history and theater in Greece.

She spent last summer analyzing coal-mining wastewater for estrogenic activity with her mentor, an environmental engineering professor at the University of Utah. After graduation she will be working for Rio Tinto Utah Kennecott Copper as an Energy Specialist Intern. After her internship, Faith will be moving to Austin, Texas this fall to complete a dual Master's degree in Energy and Earth's Resources and Global Policy Studies in the Jackson School of Geosciences and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, respectively. She is hoping to focus her career on global energy policy and management, energy sustainability, energy potential, and environmental & resource management.

Her proud grandparents are Pat & Carol Sue Martinez. Her proud parents are Shaunna & Jim Nichols and Scott & Paula Boylen.
