> Friday, October 19 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Price Masonic Temple, 39 N. 100 East (next to Curves). The dinner is a Guide's Project fundraiser for Job's Daughters Bethel 3. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under and includes Spooky Spaghetti and meatballs, salad, drink and dessert. Come in costume if you wish! Bring a can of food and save $1 off the cost of your meal! All canned food items will be donated to the Carbon County Food Bank.
Helper First Fridays is a self-guided walking tour of Downtown Helper galleries, shops, art studios, & music venues. Events start at 6 to 9pm on the First Friday of every month. First Friday is an opportunity to discover Helper's local artistic community and support of locally-owned, independent businesses located in Downtown.

Vendor booths, bingo, soup/chili bar, live entertainment, hug indoor yard sale, silent auction, raffle, concessions, and bake sale as well as a 5K walk/run at 10:30 a.m., a Zumba-a-thon from 2-5 p.m., and a Kids Carnival from 3-7 p.m.

United Way of Eastern Utah is now taking applications for the Community Angel Tree Program in Carbon and Emery Counties. Applications deadline will be November 16, 2012. is a support group for Family and Friends of Same Sex Oriented individuals. This group meets to provide a supportive community and safe haven for families and friends who are struggling with concerns and questions about gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual issues that loved ones are experiencing. Join us to talk with others who have already gone through what you are going through. We meet at the USU/College of Eastern Utah on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the board room of the Jennifer Leavitt student center. All are welcome. Carbon Rec.'s tumbling program continues on Tuesdays at the Light House High School. You can begin anytime. The fee is $18 per month. The instructor is Pineau Nielson. This program is for all kids ages three and up. .
Carbon Rec. is taking teams for the upcoming Men's basketball season. The fee is $435 per team. There will be two divisions if there are enough teams. League will be played on Mondays at Carbon High School.
Carbon Rec. is taking registrations for the upcoming second grade developmental basketball league. The registration deadline is January 10 and the fee is $23. Games and practices will be on Saturday morning's at Creekview Elementary. Emphasis will be on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
