| Many different kinds of groups perform at the summer Culture Connection series that is held in the Peace Gardens by the CEU Prehistoric Museum. |
Price City Culture Connection begins its official summer season with the electrifying sounds of Los Hermanos de los Andes this Saturday at 7:30 in the Peace Gardens.
Pan pipes, bamboo flutes, an armadillo backed stringed instrument called a Charango, a goat skin bass drum, and modern guitar all blended magnificently to entice listeners to soar with the condor to the highest summits of the Andes. This is the music of Los Hermanos de los Andes.
Local teacher, musician and Culture Connection committee member, Elias Perez plays with the group and has been instrumental in arranging for their performance.
In 1989 a group of engineering students at BYU discovered that they shared more than the common interest of playing with numbers and started meeting informally to play and share Andean music and culture. After receiving frequent requests to play at talent shows, and other public appearances, it was decided to organize a formal group and call themselves Los Hermanos de los Andes.
Also coming to the Peace Gardens for Culture Connection this summer are the following entertainers.

Those attending are reminded to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends and to not forget their dancing feet.
All Culture Connection events are free of charge and open to the public.
In the case of inclement weather, the events will be moved inside to the Price Civic Auditorium.
