In April, Commissioner of Higher Education, Richard E. Kendall, honored a number of college and university faculty for their use and implementation of technology into distance learning and classroom instruction.
Among those honored with the award was Pamela Dupin-Bryant who is a professor at Utah State University and a graduate of Carbon High School and the College of Eastern Utah.
Dupin-Bryant won the Award of Merit in Distance Education for teaching a complex subject in an organized manner and for extending that instruction to students across the state.
Dupin-Bryant was one of 25 faculty from Utah's colleges and universities to get awards from the state system of higher education, including Greg Benson and Jan Curtis at CEU.
