Antone Teodorczyk pushes past opposition from Grand High School

The Carbon High School soccer team headed to Delta Wednesday for a show down with the Rabbits. The Rabbits ran away with the 12-1 game.

Delta scored six goals each period of play to dominate the Dinos. Leo Yu was the lone scorer for the low-scoring Dino squad.

On Friday, the Dinos were back in their own back yard to take on the Red Devils from Grand High School. Carbon had a bit of confidence since the team had played Grand earlier this year.

Carbon had control of the ball most of the first half of play, but Grand's offensive players made the most of their limited opportunities with the ball and punched it past goalie Jake Malone twice.

Before the half ended Nathaniel Woodward zipped one into the net to help Carbon back in the game. Malone made several good stops as Grand attempted to score again before the break.

Woodward tied up the game in the second half of play. It looked like Carbon may have its second tie of the season when in the final minutes of the game Grand shot one more into the net and stole the victory.
