Raptor wrestlers show up at two sites

Carbon Raptor Lane Neese (at right) prepares to "shoot" on his opponent during a meet in mid-March.

No one can say that the Carbon Raptors junior wrestling team is not active in going to meets.

On March 11 and 12 wrestlers from the team showed up at two meets, one at Jordan High School in Salt Lake County and at a meet in Salina.

At the Jordan High meet (called the Mountain Top Classic Wrestling Tournament) Caleb Williams and Bryce Jackman took first in the Greco/Roman style wrestling. In that same division Justin Procarione took 3rd and Tyler Procarione took 5th.

In the freestyle wrestling Johnny O'Hearon, Williams, and Jackman all took first places. Tyler Procarione took second, and Jayden Horrocks took 5th.

In the Salina tournament Jax Kraync and Nathan Velasquez took firsts. Nico Velasquez took second.

In addition another local wrestler, Kenden Huff went to a meet in Paonia, Colo. and took first place in his division.
