Volunteers Needed - Rocky Mountain Hospice and Faith in Action Volunteer program is looking for caring volunteers who would like to work with elderly people who do not qualify for Home Health or Hospice care but could use companionship, someone to call to see and check that they are all right, someone to run the errands they can no longer do. Volunteers will try to help these people live as independently as possible in their own homes. C.A.R.E. Program - The Price area has been developing a C.A.R.E. Program with the Alzheimer's Association. The program needs caregivers who could use a break from the constant chores of taking care of a family member with memory loss. The program also needs volunteers to help provide companion services while the caregiver gets a much needed break for 1-3 hours. Volunteers will be reimbursed for mileage. Foster Grandparents - Volunteers of America-Utah needs grandparents to join the Foster Grandparent Program team. Foster Grandparents receive a modest non-taxable stipend of about $200 per month. Individuals who are at least 60 years old; love children; have a limited income, and extra time to share may qualify. FGP volunteers serve 20 hours per week in local schools, and receive a daily meal, a yearly physical, accident and liability insurance while on duty, and transportation to and from the school.
