2004 Letter Carriers Food Drive - This statewide event is taking place on Saturday, May 8. Fill a bag with high-protein, non-perishable food and leave by your mail box on this day. Casa Volunteers Needed - Each year hundreds of children in Carbon and Emery counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. Foster Grandparents - Volunteers of America-Utah needs grandparents to join the Foster Grandparent Program team. Foster Grandparents receive a modest non-taxable stipend of about $200 per month. FGP volunteers serve 20 hours per week in local schools, and receive a daily meal, a yearly physical, accident and liability insurance while on duty, and transportation to and from the school.
