All Region 8 teams participated except Lehi, as well as Union, Duchesne and Grand.

According to coach Stewart Foster, she also outdid most of the sprinters in the 200 meter run.
Banning and Maquette Potts took top places in their running and jumping events and the girls relayers finished with strong times.
Lisa Ulugia also increased her distance in the javelin. If she is able to continue at her current rate of improvement, throwing coach Hal Jackson said she will place high in the region tournament.
In the boys events, Bryan Stewart easily finished first in the 110 and 300 meter hurdle events.
Jacob Burrows won the 800 meter run, with teammate Tyler Munns following in a personal best time and taking third place.
