A FedEx semi hauling three trailers started a five car accident on U.S. Hwy. 6 Tuesday when it rolled near mile marker 257.
A FedEx truck traveling along U.S. Highway 6 ended up in the westbound ditch after an accident involving five vehicles on Tuesday morning.
Emergency vehicles were quickly on the scene at the accident near mile post 257 just east of the highway's junction with State Road 123.
Multiple tow trucks arrived shortly after the collision pulling the cars involved in the accident out of the ditch on the eastbound side of the road.
Traffic in both directions was stopped for over a mile in both directions as crews moved vehicles and cleared debris.
The biggest challenge facing responders on scene was trying to find the best way to pull the truck, which was pulling three trailers, out of the ditch.
This is a developing story. The Sun Advocate will post more information as it becomes available.
