Sisters Jeni Burrows, left, and Melanie Curwen, right, sit with newborn babies Liam, left, and Hunter on Tuesday afternoon in Price.
Jeni Burrows and her younger sister Melanie Curwen didn't think it was a possibility.
But on Thursday, Feb. 20, the two sisters, both of Price, welcomed two happy, healthy babies into the world just hours apart.
Curwen went into labor late on Feb. 19 while Burrows was scheduled to be induced on Friday, Feb. 21. However, things don't always go as planned.
Burrows' son, Liam, was born 9 lbs 7 oz and 22 inches at 2:26 p.m.
Curwen's son, Hunter, was born 6 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches at 11:53 p.m.
Liam is the son of Jeni and Jordan Burrows. Hunter is the son of Melanie and Eric Curwen.
Curwen said she appreciated the care from Dr. Shane Gagon and the nursing staff at Castleview Hospital for Hunter, who dealt with some complications during the birthing process. Dr. Gagon helped deliver both babies.
Both sisters said the babies' future birthdays will be easier to celebrate with just one big party.
