6 arrested in Price drug bust

Police seized an assortment of drugs and cash as evidence in the arrests.

Information obtained by a Price city police officer led to multiple felony arrests Tuesday evening as a residential probationary check yielded substantial quantities of suspected methamphetamine and heroin in Price.

Price officers, assisted by Adult Probation and Parole and the Carbon County Sheriff's deputies entered the home of Mathew Ray Sanchez, 27, at 8:15 p.m., finding several persons in the residence along with the suspected narcotics.

Sanchez's home on the 100 East block of north Price has been the subject of an investigation which reportedly focused on a large amount of traffic. Police found numerous items of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances throughout the home, including suspected heroin and suspected methamphetamine.

In addition to Sanchez, Rocco Denis Durrant, 20, Chad Carl Weber, 22, Dusty Jim Jensen, 21, Chelee Julianna Manuel, 23, and Tina Ann Edwards, 19 were in the home when police made the probationary check.

According to a police press release, Sanchez was booked into the Carbon County Jail on Feb. 11, for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin in a Drug Free Zone, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine in a Drug Free Zone, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Free Zone, Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone, Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone and an Adult Probation and Parole 72 Hour Hold.

Sanchez, whose residence has been the scene of several criminal incidents, was released from incarceration approximately three weeks ago, according to police.

In addition to Sanchez, Dusty Jensen and Chad Weber were arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine in a Drug Free Zone, Possession of Heroin in a Drug Free Zone, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Free Zone.

Rocco Durrant was booked for Possession of Methamphetamine in a Drug Free Zone and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Free Zone.

According to Price City Police Chief Kevin Drolc, Chelee Manuel will be referred to the Carbon County Attorney for potential charges including Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Free Zone and Possession of Methamphetamine in a Drug Free Zone. Tina Edwards will also be referred to the Carbon County Attorney for potential charges which include of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Free Zone and Knowingly Being Present when Controlled Substance Are Used.
