With the 1A playoffs on the horizon, both the boys and girls teams at Pinnacle High School will be looking to strengthen their place in Region 19 play.
For the Pinnacle High girls, an important sweep on Jan. 24-25 was a key in helping to improve the Lady Panthers chances of making the 1A State Tournament for the first time in school history.
They will host rival Green River on Wednesday at 5 p.m. with an opportunity to move up in the standings.
For the Pinnacle High boys, the game against Green River, on Wednesday at 7 p.m., can help solidify their playoff spot. At 3-3 in Region 19 play, the Panthers can move up with a win over Green River and a loss by Monument Valley this week.
