Second half rally comes up empty for Dinos in loss

Dinos cut down double digit lead in fourth quarter before Stansbury pulled away in 60-46 loss at home The Carbon High boys basketball team dug themselves a big hole in the first half and nearly overcame it in the second half before Stansbury pulled away to hand the Dinos a 60-46 loss on Wednesday evening. Trailing by as many as 14 points, the Dinos made a run in the second half cutting the lead to 37-33 early in the fourth quarter before Stansbury used a 23-13 run to finish the game and hand the Dinos another hardluck loss. Garrett Blanc led the Dinos with 12 points. Zac Hathaway and Cole Fossat each added 11 points. Carbon, 1-6 overall, will host Uintah on Tuesday, Dec. 17 for a game starting at 7 p.m.
