A third angle of Saturday's crash, which occurred when a west bound Chevy truck veered into the east lane and was collided with an oncoming Pathfinder.
A two-car accident on US-6 just south of Wellington sent nine people to the hospital Saturday evening, closing the road down for more than two hours.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Lawrence Hopper, a 1996 Chevy truck, traveling westbound on Highway 6, had one of its tires separate near mile marker 258.
The truck began to lose control, veering back and forth before moving into the eastbound lane where it was T-boned by an oncoming 2013 Nissan Pathfinder around 5 p.m, according to Hopper.
The UHP reported that all nine individuals were transported to Castleview Hospital.
The driver of the Chevy Truck, Lorana Alverado, 37, of Price, and four juvenile passengers, also of Price, were listed in critical condition.
Additionally, the Pathfinder's occupants, including driver Jill Adair, 45, Hank Adair, 43 and two juveniles, all of New Mexico, were also transported in critical condition.
Traffic was closed 13 south of Wellington in both directions while authorities investigated the scene.
Hopper said weather did not play a factor in the crash and no citations have been issued at this point. The investigation is ongoing, he said.
