Golden Eagles race past Impact Academy: USU Eastern averages 132 points per game in two wins over Impact Academy

The USU Eastern Golden Eagles swept a two games series with Impact Academy on Friday and Saturday to continue an undefeated start to the 2013-14 season.

Eastern defeated Impact Academy 140-72 on Friday evening and followed that up with a 124-79 win on Saturday afternoon at the BDAC.

In the two games, USU Eastern had at least 7 players score in double figures.

Kendahl Amerson led the Golden Eagles in scoring, averaging 21.5 points per game in the two wins including a weekend high with 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting on Friday evening. Todd Helgesen had a strong performance in Saturday's win with 24 points and a team-high 14 rebounds.

USU Eastern, 6-0 overall, will look to continue their perfect play this season when they host the Salt Lake All-Stars on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 3 p.m.
