They may be mythical, but they treated Castle Country to one of the most brilliant thunderstorms in recent memory Tuesday night. Lighting flashed non-stop for hours all across Carbon County. One bolt tripped a 46,000-volt transmission line that knocked out power to about 1,800 customers in parts of Price and Carbonville, according to Rocky Mountain Power spokesman Dave Eskelsen. The outage began at 10:26 p.m. and power was gradually restored by about 5:30 a.m. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a slight chance of thunderstorms each day through the weekend, with high temperatures around 80 degrees and overnight lows near 60.
