Dinos rally in 7th for comeback win over rival Emery Spartans

Carbon High mounted a huge 7th inning rally that saw them overcome a 3-1 deficit to come away with an 11-3 win over the rival Spartans.

Down to their final three outs, the Carbon High bats awoke from a slumber as the Dinos rode a 10-run top of the seventh inning that pushed the team to an 11-3 win over rival Emery High on Tuesday afternoon.

Carbon High pitcher Dakota Cisneros allowed three runs over seven innings keeping the Dinos in the game despite the offense struggling to get runs on the board.

The Dinos strung together a number of hits, walks and capitalized on Emery errors to score 10 runs in the top of the 7th inning. Tyler Procarione had two doubles to help lead the Dino offense. Nick Rukavina and Cole Fossat each had a double and Bryce Blackburn added a bases loaded triple in the seventh inning to help extend the Dino lead.

Carbon High (3-3) hosted Union at home on Wednesday afternoon. The two teams will play again on Friday as Carbon travels to Union for a game starting at 3:30 p.m.
