An East Carbon/Sunnyside Community Daze tradition will continue in 2013 with another Bo Huff Family, Food, Fun and Bands Rockabilly Weekend.

In addition to the annual rodeo, Rockabilly activities will kick off at dusk Friday evening as bands including Mad Max and the Wild Ones, Victor Trevino Jr., the Cash Prophets and Eddie Clendening will play through the weekend.

Vendors, bikes, cars and many other custom crazies will be on hand through the weekend on Geneva Drive in East Carbon. The site, just off U.S. Highway 123, provides a unique venue for the event, as it is fronted by a street that essentially serves as a parking lot.

This year's Community Daze weekend includes a third Friday night event, as Miner's Trading Post and the Sunnyside Credit Union will host their own parking lot party starting at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

The party will feature music by the Jeff Keele Band along with food, games and fun. The Community Daze Parade will begin registration at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning at Miners. Area kids are encouraged to decorate their bike and join the parade for fun and prizes.

More of the Event can be found in the Printed Sun Advocate on page B3.
