Two Price City Police officers were honored by Price City and the Price Police Department for their actions during an apparent suicide attempt April 1.
Officers Stephen Regruto and David Wilkinson were presented with Medals of Distinguished Service for their actions in the line of duty. Regruto and Wilkinson helped defuse a situation with a distaught man in Price who was armed with a .20 gauge shotgun and was pointing it at himself. Regruto and Wilkinson eventually wrestled the weapon away from the man without suffering any injuries despite one shot being fired. Police Chief Kevin Drolc said the man told police during an interview that Regruto and Wilkinson helped save his life and that he was sorry for his actions.
