Carbon County 4-H is sponsoring science camps for kids throughout July at the Price City Library.
All camps will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The fee is $5 per week. Registration is at the USU Extension Office in the Courthouse as 120 E. Main.
The schedule is:
July 1-3, 5: Fundamental Science for grades 1 and 2. This will feature experiments with quicksand goo, skewer through balloon, electric gelatin and CO2 sandwich;
July 8-12: Island Adventures for grades 3 and 4. Kids will identify bugs in water, clean an oil spill, unsinkable fish and soap powered ship;
July 15-19: Cooking Up Science for grades 3-5. Experiments will include egg in a bottle and floating eggs, plastic milk and Pop Rock science;
July 22, 23, 25, 26: Grades 2 and 3 will have dancing cereal, screaming balloon and wizard's potion;
July 29 - Aug. 2 is Crime and Spy Science for grades 4-7, including spy school, DNA and Who Dunnit?
