Dinos lose 2-0 to Desert Hills in state tournament

The Carbon High School baseball team lost 2-0 to Desert Hills Thursday morning in state tournament play at Utah Valley University.

The game was a scoreless tie for the first three innings. Desert Hills then scored a run in the fourth and another in the fifth inning. Dino batters were not able to capitalize on multiple opportunities with runners on base in the final three innings.

The Dinos now move into the consolation bracket. They will play Friday at 11 a.m. at UVU against Spanish Fork. The Dons won both games against the Dinos in Region 12 play, including a 12-7 win on March 26 and a 5-2 victory on March 28.
