Nothing comes easy for the Carbon High baseball team. But the Dinos will take a win any way they can.
In another down-to-the-wire Region 12 game against Juab on Thursday, the Dinos broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning with an RBI single by Kayden Feichko to score Colton Greener as the Dinos walked away with a 5-4 win over Juab on Thursday afternoon.
It's becoming a recurring theme for the Dinos as Feichko added to his list of big hits this season with another walk off.
"He's (Feichko) a competitor out there," said CHS head coach Troy Moynier. "He gets the ball in play in big situations."
The Dino offense was lead by hits from Feichko, Dakota Cisneros and Tyler Procarione who each finished with a double.
Cisneros started on the mound for the Dinos as they jumped out to an early 4-1 lead. Juab battled back to tie the game with three runs in the top of the fourth inning. The game remained scoreless until Feichko's single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Derek Young picked up the victory for the Dinos.
Now the Dinos (13-7) will turn their focus to the 3A State Tournament. The Dinos will travel to Stansbury High as they will take on Juan Diego (12-8) on Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at Stansbury High School.
