On May 18 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. the Carbon Senior Center will be presenting a program called Staying Sharp, which will present ways for seniors to keep their minds active and the research that has gone on concerning aging and the mind.
The presenter will be Kevin Duff an associate professor at the Center for Alzheimer's Care, imaging and research at the University of Utah Brain Institute.
Duff will be talking about brain fitness and brain diseases, as well as memory loss, successful longevity and recognizing changes in a loved ones behavior.
There will also be a seminar on scams that are often aimed a seniors including financial scams, investor protection and who to trust.
That seminar will be taught by Dee Johnson, a investigator from the Utah Division of Securities.
The program will be free to all that want to attend, but space is limited.
