Assistant coach, Matt King explains that the Dinos have used a variety of players and combinations of players at doubles.
Currently, Neal Maynes and Sean Watkins are at number one doubles and are coming off of a 7-5, 6-4 victory over North Sanpete opponents, Tyson Jarrett and Stephen Larsen.
At number two doubles, Chris Powell, Matt Braby, Carter Simpkins, Ryne Vogel and Andrew Christensen have all seen action.
King explains that it still is not clear which players will step up and claim the number two doubles spot for the region and state tournaments.
Jacob Petty has also seen junior varsity action this year.
Of the 11 layers on this year's tennis team, six are seniors and five are juniors.
"There will definitely be roster spots open on next year's team. So, next March, when the tennis season starts again, anyone interested in playing is encouraged to come out," King stated.
The Dinos were scheduled to compete on the road Wednesday against Uintah. The team will return to Carbon County next Tuesday as they host Region 8 opponent, Delta.
