The Panthers wasted no time ending a three-game losing streak by traveling to Altamont and coming away with a 92-49 victory on Saturday afternoon.
After falling 78-65 to Grand on Jan. 30, the Panthers were struggling to get their high powered offense to work efficiently.
Against Altamont, the Panthers ran out to a 53-11 lead at halftime. The Panthers didn't let Altamont back into the game as they kept up the pressure into the second half.
Jake Hardy led the Panthers with a game-high 23 points. Four other Panthers finished in double figures as Javanni Alyzayyat (16), Dalton Rudman (15), Chris Smith (13) and Taje Richardson (12) also helped lead the scoring attack.
Pinnacle (13-5 overall, 5-2 Region 19) currently sits in second place in the region behind leader Monticello (14-3 overall, 7-0 Region 19).
The two teams will battle again as the Panthers will travel to Monticello on Feb. 7 for a game starting at 7 p.m.
In their last meeting on Jan. 25, Monticello held off a late Pinnacle High run in the fourth quarter for a 64-55 win to secure their spot at the top of the Region 19 standings.
