HELPER - Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Elsie Perrero passed away peacefully Jan. 18, 2013, at the age of 94.
Elsie was born on Sept. 18, 1918 in Rolapp to Gus Marinos from Greece and Sarah Craig from Scotland.
She married Pete T. Perrero March 10, 1936 in Price. They spent 59 years of companionship until Pete's passing on March 16, 1995.
Elsie was a resident of Helper for 84 years and a member of St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church until she moved to Tucson, Ariz., and then to Salt Lake City.
Elsie was an avid seamstress, cook, gardener, and homemaker that enjoyed making European cookies, potica bread, and canning fruits and vegetables. She was a serious Bingo and Rummy player for many years.
She retired from F.W. Woolworth Co. in Price after 30 years of service.
Survived by her sons, Pete Jr., South Jordan, Micheal J., West Jordan, sister Jeanne Berry, Colorado, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Pete, parents, daughter, Beverly Slade Perrero; brother, George Marinos; and grandson Donnie Tortorelli.
Funeral Mass, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church, 5 South Main, Helper. Family will receive friends at the church Wednesday one hour prior to the Mass. Committal, Mt.
