The Carbon High Boys and Girls Basketball teams will be looking to get off to a good start in the new year as they open Region 12 play at home this week.
The girls (7-4) fell in their last game to Uintah 53-44 on Jan. 2.
The boys (7-5) will be looking to bounce back after losing a tough 68-64 game to South Sevier that is highly ranked in Class 2A.
The girls will host Payson tonight at 7 p.m. and the boys will host Payson tomorrow night at 7 p.m
The two teams will then travel north to Spanish Fork for their next Region 12 games on Friday night.
