Price City Council honors essay winners

Essay contest winners hold their awards given to them by the Price City Council on Wednesday during the council meeting.

Fourth grade students from around Carbon County had a chance to write an essay describing what they like the most about living in Price.

After looking over more than 60 essays from students in fourth grade at schools including Castle Heights, Creekview Elementary and Pinnacle Canyon Academy, Price City presented awards to six students at the city council meeting last Wednesday.

The winners included Noah Bradford from Castle Heights Elementary; Taycie Shepherd, Michael Vigil and Alexander Krempasky from Creekview Elementary; Stetson Motte and Rylee Birrell from Pinnacle Canyon Academy.

Each winner received a movie pack with popcorn/candy/movie and a movie pass to the local theater.

Mrs. Sorenson from Creekview Elementary was drawn to win the gift basket full of school supplies for her classroom.
