The USU Eastern Lady Eagles picked up their first win of 2012-13 season during a tournament held at Salt Lake Community College last weekend.
During the three-day tournament, the Lady Eagles played three teams, including a familiar opponent in the Idaho Elite team.
The Lady Eagles went 1-2 during play at the tournament which went from Thursday through Saturday.
The Lady Eagles lost to Idaho Elite 64-60 on Thursday evening. The game was the third matchup between the two teams as Idaho Elite, a team comprised of former Division I talent, also defeated the Lady Eagles two times at home on Nov. 2 and 3.
On Friday, the Lady Eagles picked up their first victory of the season as they defeated Pima Community College 62-55.
To complete the tournament, the Lady Eagles played Southern Montana and lost 68-55 on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles (1-4) will continue a month-long string of games away from home when they travel to Casper, Wyo., for a tournament starting on Thursday and continuing on through Saturday.
