LAST DAY FOR IN-PERSON REGISTRATION AND ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION

    
  

	Monday, October 22, 2012 will be the last day persons who are legally
qualified and entitled to vote can present themselves for registration
at the county clerk's office during the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. 
If persons have moved, changed their name, or need to register to vote
for the first time they may register before this date and can still
vote in the November 6, 2012 election.  This is in accordance with
20A-2-101.

	Online voter registration shall require that an applicant have a
valid driver license or   identification card that reflects the
person's current principal place of residence and that the applicant
authorized the lieutenant governor's and county clerk's use of the
applicant's driver license or identification card signature for voter
registration purposes.  The lieutenant governor uses additional
security measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of an
electronically submitted voter registration.  If registration takes
place beginning on the date after the voter registration deadline
October 9, 2012, and ending on the date that is 15 days before the
date of the election October 22, 2012, the county clerk shall accept
the registration for individuals legally qualified and entitled to
vote in a voting precinct in the state on November 6, 2012, and is not
eligible to vote using early voting.  Online website is
