For the Carbon High Dinos Football team, it's a matter of streaks as one ended while another one continues on.

The Dinos broke a 12 quarter scoreless streak with a touchdown in the third quarter but it was not enough as the North Sanpete Hawks scored early and often in a 46-8 loss last Friday which sent the Dinos to their fifth straight loss.

The Hawks jumped out to a 26-0 lead at the half and never looked back.

The Dinos scored on a 34-yard TD catch as Zac Hathaway broke away from the defense and caught a pass from Dakota Cisneros for a score. Hathaway also caught a two-point conversion.

For the Dinos, wins in Region 12 play have proven to be quite difficult. Since regions were realigned in 2011, the Dinos are winless in Region 12 play (0-8).

The Dinos will look to end that streak as they host Payson on Friday night at 7 p.m. in their final home game of the 2012 season.
