After getting off to their best start in over half a century last season, the Carbon High Dinos are hoping that another good start to the 2012 season is in store for the team.

With the offense in it's second season running the spread offense and a number of young players looking to break out, the Dinos are looking to take more steps forward with a program that was struck in neutral for a decade.

Now with a renewed excitment among the players, coaches and in the community, the Dinos are hopeful the hard work put in the weight room and on the field over the summer will pay off with wins.

The Dinos will take on Grand High in the season opener on Friday at the Carbon High Football field at 7 p.m.

In their last meeting on Sept. 3, 2010, Grand defeated the Dinos 27-7, pulling away for the win with a 15-point fourth quarter.
