Price City has a jewel of a librarian, Norma Procarione. On July 14 she graciously hosted The Great Brain Society. Her courtesy went beyond hosting our meeting on Friday evening. Instead she met our group on Friday morning as we toured Price's cemetery, noting the living individuals whose lives were the inspiration for former Price resident, John Dennis Fitzgerald's literary works.
She then took us on a detailed tour of the town. Her insights enriched our images of Price's history. Later on she allowed our tired team to enjoy lunch in the library basement. In the evening she provided room, refreshment and support for our speakers forum.
We couldn't have been treated more generously or hospitably. I look forward to future experiences with Norma and will hold Norma up as a model of a true public servant for the rest of my life.
