On Saturday at the Carbon Country Club, wearing humorous and unique attire was a must as the Parrotheads had their day at the course.
For the seventh year in a row, 32 teams of golfers, many of them known as Parrotheads or fans of musician Jimmy Buffet, took to the course with the aim of having fun and contributing to a worthy cause. Jenny Gagon, president and founder of the Eastern Utah Parrothead Club, said the tournament raised about $6,000. That money will be donated to the Utah Foster Care Foundation and the Carbon County Foodbank, Gagon said.
