NOTICE OF AGENCY ACTION
CAUSE NO. OGM 007-12-01, 015-12-01,
IN THE MATTER OF THE REQUEST OF PETRO-CANADA RESOURCES (USA) INC. FOR
RELEASE OF A SURETY ISSUED BY FIDELITY AND DEPOSIT COMPANY OF
MARYLAND, FOR PETRO-CANADA RESOURCES (USA) INC., AS PRINCIPAL.
THE STATE OF UTAH TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ABOVE ENTITLED
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Division of Oil, Gas and Mining (the
"Division") is commencing an informal adjudicative proceeding to
consider the request of Petro-Canada Resources (USA) Inc., for the
release of a bond in the amount of ($120,000) issued by Fidelity and
Deposit Company of Maryland for Petro-Canada Resources (USA) Inc., as
Principal. The adjudicative proceeding will be conducted informally
in accordance with Utah Admin. R649-10, Administrative Procedures.
Division records show the following well locations in Utah are
insured under this bond and subject to release:
Bryner 11-21, NE/4 NW/4, S.11, T.12S, R.12E, Carbon County;
State 32-21, NE/4NW/4, S.32, T.13S, R.16E, Carbon County;
State 1214-32-21, NE/4NW/4, S.32, T.12S, R.14E, Carbon County;
State 36-11, NE/4NE/4, S.36, T.22S, R.15E, Emery County;
State 16-41, NE/4SE/4, S.16, T.23S, R.15E, Emery County;
State 32-44, SE/4SE/4, S.32, T.22S, R.15E, Emery County;
State 32-11, NE/4NE/4, S.32, T.22S, R.15E, Emery County;
Dry Valley St 14-23, SW/4NW/4, S.14, T.11S, R.07E, Utah County.
All requests and other documents relating to this matter may be
inspected in the Division's office at 1594 West North Temple, Suite
1210, Salt Lake City, Utah 84116.
Administrative action to release liability under the bond may be
taken unless a written objection is filed within fifteen (15) days
after publication of this notice by a person authorized to participate
as a party in this informal adjudicative proceeding. The Division's
Presiding Officer for this proceeding is John Rogers, Associate
Director at PO Box 145801, Salt Lake City, Utah 84114-5801, phone
number (801) 538-5340. If such a protest or notice of intervention is
received, a hearing will be scheduled in accordance with the
aforementioned administrative procedure rule. Protestants and/or
interveners should be prepared to demonstrate at the hearing how this
matter affects their interests.
