Carbon Rodeo Club completes successful season with performances at Nevada Rodeo

Cali Moon placed in 14th place in the second go of Breakaway Roping and 21st in the average. She also competed in Pole Bending at the Silver State Invitational Rodeo.
Garrett Gibson competed in the Bull Riding event at the Silver State Invitational Rodeo going into the event in eighth place.
Dalton Rudman took fourth place in the first go in Bull Riding at the Invitational Rodeo. He received a buckle for his performance in the first go.

The Carbon Rodeo Club sent three participants to the Silver State Invitational Rodeo in Nevada capping off an end to a successful rodeo season.

Dalton Rudman, Cali Moon and Garrett Gibson all qualified to represent the Utah team at the Silver State Invitational Rodeo held in Winnemucca, Nev., July 2-7.

Cali Moon placed in 14th place in the second go of Breakaway Roping and 21st in the average. She also competed in Pole Bending at the Silver State Invitational Rodeo.

Garrett Gibson went into the Silver State Invitational Rodeo in eighth place in the Bull Riding event.

Dalton Rudman took fourth place in the first go in the Bull Riding event. He received a buckle for his performance in the first go.

These performances came after the Carbon Rodeo Club traveled to Heber City back in early June to compete in the State High School Rodeo Finals. Qualifying for state from the Carbon Rodeo Club included Moon, Gibson, Rudman, JoeCee Heil and Zach Jensen.

Heil placed in the top 50 in the state in Breakaway Roping.

Jensen placed sixth in the first round of the Team Ropin event with his partner from Uintah Basin, Baxtor Sorenson.

Moon finished in the top 15 in the state in the Pole Bending event.

Gibson and Rudman also placed in the top 15 in the state in the Bull Riding event.

The 2012-13 rodeo season for the Carbon Rodeo Club will start on Aug. 10-11, 2012 with an event in Panguitch.
