The weather and the end result on the field were both unkind to the Price American Legion Baseball team in their 18-1 defeat to Highland on Friday evening at the USU Eastern baseball field.

About halfway through the game, a storm brought heavy rains and plenty of lightning sending the game into a delay of over 30 minutes.

While the game was not in question after the fourth inning, the Price players did not show any quit as they drove for groundballs on the wet infield making some nice plays despite the conditions.

Helper also had a game scheduled on Friday against East. Results from that game were not available at press time.

Price will travel to Hunter on Wednesday for their final game of the season.
