3 brightest objects of night sky to align Sunday morning

During the past few weeks many early risers have noticed an intensely bright, star-like object low in the east at dawn. That is the planet Venus.

Some may have also noticed a not quite as bright point of light just above Venus. That is the planet Jupiter.

This coming Sunday morning, July 15, the planetary duo will be joined by a delicately thin crescent Moon making for a truly beautiful cosmic triangle of light.

Those wanting to see the show are cautioned that they will need to be watching Sunday morning because by the next morning the Moon will have moved on leaving Venus and Jupiter to shine alone against the backdrop of stars.
