In their only meeting this season, Helper will have local bragging rights in American Legion baseball after defeating Price 12-2 on Monday afternoon at the College of Eastern Utah baseball field.

Despite missing a number of key players for the game, Helper scored early and often putting seven runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Helper head coach Jeff Cisneros said a group of players missed the game because they were participating in a basketball camp down at Dixie State for the week.

Helper added five more runs over the course of the next four innings to push their lead to 12-0.

Price would not go down quietly as they put together a rally in the top of the fifth inning scoring two runs to break up the shutout before the game ended due to the mercy rule.

Helper will next play on July 2 as they travel up to Taylorsville for two games starting at 4 p.m.

Price will host West Jordan for a game on Friday at the USU Eastern field at 6 p.m.
