The Wellington Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been designated as the emergency evacuation center for evacuees from Clear Creek, Scofield, Hiawatha and Wattis. As of 7:30 a.m., the evacuation of Clear Creek is mandatory and Scofield is voluntary.
The wildfire situation on the Wasatch Plateau is changing minute-by-minute. As many as 500 firefighters are expected to battle the blaze today, along with aircraft dropping water and fire retardant. Additional information will be posted here as it becomes available.
