The Price Community Progress Committee announced last week that the annual 'All Spruced Up' competition between city residents will begin in June.
The point of the contest is to reward and honor those that go the extra mile to make their yards and properties look excellent.
The committee has scheduled June 18-23, July 16-21 and August 20-25 as the dates judges will be going around town and looking for great yards.
The judges have been selected to judge during these terms and will be judging four residential districts within Price City limits per month along with one business per month. Winners that are selected during these judging periods will receive a 12" x 18" sign as a keepsake as part of Price City's appreciation for responsible landowners that display a sense of pride and keeping with the mission of our city in being a friendly, progressive and beautiful city.
Yards are judged on "Drive by curb appeal." The criteria include neat, clean and orderly, most beautiful, display of water conservation, uniqueness, well trimmed curb, clean gutters and clean park strip.
Last year there were many beautiful yards in the area and a number of them received the award.
Residents who have questions can call Price City Council member, Kathy Hanna-Smith at 650-3922.
