Wellington Phillies 10U team takes tornado tournament championship

The Wellington Phillies are the 2012 Tornado Tournament Champions in the 10 and under division. The team finished the tournament undefeated. There were a total of 14 teams in the 10 and under age group with games played in Helper, Price and Wellington from April 23-28.

The Wellington Phillies began their week facing the Helper Dodgers which the Phillies won 15-4. In their second game they faced the Price White Sox where the Phillies won 8-7. In their third game they faced the Price Angels for a Phillies 15-8 win, The fourth game was against the Price Reds where the Phillies once again came out on top 10-1.

The Phillies entered the Championship rounds on Saturday, April 28 as the #2 seed where they faced the #3 seed the Price A's. The Phillies were once again victorious with a 23-3 win. The Phillies faced the #4 seed Price Indians who had prevailed over the #1 seed the Price Dodgers in their first round of the Championship games. The Wellington Phillies defeated the Price Indians 18-5 to wrap up the championship for the undefeated team.
