Carbon ballers dropped a pair of games spanning the weekend as the Price team went to 11-5 on the season heading into their final five contests.

Last Friday, the Dino offense struggled as they failed to score against a tough Delta defense and strong pitching. The Rabbits got on the board early as they jumped on starting pitcher Nick Rukavina peppering five runs over the first two innings of play.

The Delta offense came via a homer and several extra base hits. After putting four on the board in the first inning, Rabbit hurler Kyle Church threw a wicked game spreading nine strikeouts over a scoreless outing.

The Dinos couldn't get back to their winning way on Tuesday as the team traveled back to Price to face Spanish Fork.

The Carbon bats were hot early as the Dinos scored two in the first inning as Jaren McCourt went deep of off the Don's Brady Corless. Following the first however, Corless settled down and managed to fan nine over the remainder of the contest, never allowing another run.

The Spanish offense rallied late scoring two in the sixth and three more in the seventh to hand the Dinos their second straight loss.

Carbon will face the Dons once again this afternoon before wrapping up the regular season with two vs Payson and a final two game set against North Sanpete. Today's first pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Carbon High.
