Winning on the road and at home

Carbon High pitcher Dakota Cisneros looks to put the finishing touch on his complete game shutout over Juab last week.

Learning to win at home and on the road during the season is an important trait to pick up along the way.

For the Carbon High Dinos baseball team, it's one trait they are passing with flying colors so far.

Playing against Juab High School on the road last Tuesday and at home on Thursday afternoon, the Dinos dominated both games on their way to a 10-0 win on the road and an 11-2 victory at home.

In the win at Juab last week, CHS pitcher Dakota Cisneros pitched a complete game allowing only three hits to the Wasps. Bryce Blackburn, Jaren McCourt, Clay Finkbiner and Seth Tryon all had big days at the plate to help give Cisneros a big lead.

In the game on Thursday, CHS player Nick Rukavina had a big day at the plate and on the mound. He finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and helped on the mound for the Dinos. Seth Tryon highlighted the Dinos' offensive barrage with a home run.

Carbon (9-3, 2-0 Region 12) will look to defeat rival Emery High on Wednesday at the Carbon High baseball field at 3 p.m.
