Senior Barry Hamilton throws down a big dunk during a game against Dugway;
After a successful season and a winning record overall, three Pinnacle Canyon Academy boys basketball players were selected to the All-Region 19 teams by coaches within the region.
Senior Barry Hamilton and junior Jake Hardy were named to the All-Region 19 First Team while senior MJ Taberna was selected to the All-Region 19 Second Team.
Hamilton, a center who stands 6-foot-4, took first team honors after finishing tops in the state across all classifications averaging 13.2 rebounds per game. He averaged a double-double which included 11.23 points per game.
Hardy, a junior guard who stands 5-foot-10, averaged a team-high with 15.89 points per game. He also averaged 1.22 3-pointers per game and chipped in 5.56 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.5 steal per game.
Taberna, a senior guard who stands 5-foot-11, averaged 10.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
In their second season at the 1A level, the Panthers finished the season at 12-8 overall and barely missed making the 1A playoffs.
The team will be returning a number of key players for next season including Hardy, junior Dalton Rudman, sophomore Javanni Alzayyat and a number of other key players in the team's rotation.
