Rescuers converge on the overturned truck and begin sawing off the roof to extricate one victim.
A two-car accident on Friday evening near the East Price Highway 6 left five people with varying injuries, according to UHP Lt. David Bennion.
According to reports, a blue 2007 Nissan Titan driven by Dalton Wooden, 20, Price, was driving eastbound along Highway 6 when he made a U-turn on the road. Wooden allegedly made another U-turn a short time later when he slammed into a westbound traveling 2010 black Dodge Journey driven by Lawrence Georges, 22, Price.
The truck was turned over on its side when it came to a stop on the outside eastbound lane a short distance from Intermountain Electric. Emergency personnel used extrication equipment to remove Wooden from the car and he was transported to Castleview Hospital with unknown injuries.
The Dodge Journey had three passengers in the car who all had minor injuries, according to Bennion.
Bennion said there was no suspicion of impaired driving.
Wooden was cited at the scene for making an illegal U-turn, according to Bennion.
