While many people are pondering over which teams to pick in their office pools, two former USU Eastern Golden Eagles are preparing for their first chance in the Big Dance.

Michael Glover and Jonathan Mills both saw their teams be chosen to participate in the NCAA Tournament starting tonight and continuing through April 2. Glover, who plays at Iona College, and Mills, who plays at the University of Southern Mississippi, will look to help lead their teams deep into the tournament.

But while they are making their first trip to the Big Dance, both players are no strangers to tough tournament play. Both Glover and Mills played big roles in helping USU Eastern advance to Hutchinson, Kan., for the NJCAA National Tournament. The Golden Eagles rode a wave of success that saw them finish third in the tournament, tying the program's best finish in its history.

Mills, a junior who averages 9.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, will help lead the Golden Eagles as a 9-seed against the 8-seeded Kansas State Wildcats. Their game is scheduled to tip off on Thursday at 10:40 a.m.

Glover, a senior who averages 18.5 points and 9 rebounds per game, will help lead the Gaels in their opening round game against BYU. The two teams will play tonight at 7:10 p.m. in Dayton, Ohio for a chance to advance to the second round and a matchup with 3-seeded Marquette on Thursday.
